Leeds: The Big Data City

July 3, 2013 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

What does it take for a city to be renowned globally for its data expertise? Is Leeds in the perfect position to be that city?

During Big Data Week 2013, Leeds was the 4th most influential city in the world. We have a burgeoning community of exceptionally knowledgeable and influential data specialists, a creative community who can pose the questions and the analysts who can search for the answers. With two world class universities, leading NHS organisations’ HQs, the third largest financial centre in the UK, and public and private sectors focussing on data innovation, the stage is set for us to clinch the global top spot.

Over the course of the evening, we’ll be welcoming a selection of speakers from both public and private sector organisations to discuss Leeds’ role in the data revolution. They’ll be discussing how their organisations are individually driving innovation,  what we can do to collaborate and, ultimately, how we can drive investment in Leeds.

If you’re interested in speaking at this event, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us at leedsdatath[email protected] or registering your interest via the eventbrite listing.
